URBANA — Urbana has been chosen to be one of the six communities in Illinois to share in $41.5 million in state grants to provide services to migrants. Urbana will be receiving $250,000, according to announcement from Gov. J.B. Pritzker Friday. Urbana Mayor Diane Marlin said the money will be jointly administered by Urbana and Champaign on behalf of both cities, in partnership with Cunningham Township, the Refugee Center and New American Welcome Center. More details about what the money will be used for were expected to be available Monday, she said.
